While media coverage began in 2019, years later in October 2021 Carrie had to retain her own lawyer to lift a publication ban she wasn’t even aware existed and did not consent to. The ongoing and detailed media coverage bringing awareness to this case, and the ongoing issues within the legal system for victims of sexual assault, would not be possible without Carrie's courage to challenge the publican ban and speak out, sharing her journey with the world.
